Our client is a global leader in mobile webcomics and visual storytelling. They are seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to join our PR & Communications Team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you will drive executive thought leadership, manage internal communications for North America, support crisis communication efforts, and lead PR programs to promote innovations and product launches. Candidate must be located in Los Angeles, CA 90036 (hybrid: 2-3 days onsite).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across teams to develop proactive communications and content strategies for corporate initiatives.
- Create media materials such as press releases, pitches, op-eds, and white papers.
- Manage US and global media relations, enhancing the company's presence in business, tech, and financial media.
- Develop processes and tools to support our growing international business.
- Provide message development and media training for the Leadership Team and spokespeople.
- Manage inbound media requests and coordinate reputational responses.
- Plan media tours and desk-side meetings for executives.
- Support quarterly earnings communications and presentations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in journalism, or PR / corporate communications in a public company.
- Experience with financial PR/Communications i.e. pitching to financial media outlets.
- Experience creating strategies and processes to support communications initiatives.
- Must be well-connected and savvy media consumer.
- Must be a strategic thinker who goes beyond press releases to achieve communication goals.
- Must be a team-player who’s equally excited about strategy and execution.
- You must have a passion for reading and writing.
Plusses:
- Prior experience in a leadership role in the PR/communications space.
- A degree in PR or Journalism.
- Experience supporting executive appearances at events or conferences.
